What's the soundtrack for SH4 like? (I can't remember, and I'm too afraid to boot the game up ) Is it mostly ambient/scary stuff? SH2 had great soundtrack - particularly the main themes.

Lately I've been listenting to the Kingdom Hearts 1 soundtrack quite a bit. What can I say? The title theme is fantastic. (Kahr, how does the sequel compare?)

Oh, the soundtracks of KH2 are just as good as the ones from KH1. There are a few nostalgia tracks from the original game, as well as a few renewed tracks, and additionally a lot of new tracks that are quite beautiful.

I just got my hands on the album to SH3. Most of the tracks there can't compare to the tracks I remember all too well from SH1, and of course the classical rock type you found in SH2. But there is one song in particular that I find brilliantly good.
Joe Romersa - Hometown
The theme song from SH1, only upgraded a little? There's vocals in this one, and it differs a little bit from the original melody. But it's good. Very good.

I am about to get both the SH2 and SH4 soundtrack. Additionally, I've not recently got the entire Skies of Arcadia sountrack, the entire FFX soundtrack, Star Ocean III: Till The End of Time soundtrack AND Tales of Symphonia. Right on! I have a lot of listening to do these days!

But yes, Maddie. If you liked (or better yet, loved) the original soundtrack from KH1, then you will also like (or better yet again, love) the soundtrack from SH2 as well. I advice you to get it.

Hehe, I found the fourth game the most intense, I've not long got around to completing it either; it's those bloody ghosts.

The music is, for the most part, just brooding ambience, but I love it. Most of the songs that do have lyrics are performed by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, though she's credited as Melissa Williamson.

The Black Mages - Vamo' Alla Flamenco

Nobou Uematsu's group is really cool. All these remixed of Final Fantasy music are rather good, IMO. Well, some aren't as good as others, but the whole idea is really rather good. Hard Rock/Metal versions of the good ol' FF-music we all know and love.

Oh yes, The Black Mages is a brilliant group. You should find them ASAP.
They have two albums, or a two-disc album. Not sure which it is. But excellent music, and I love the twist of doing hard rock/metal versions of the good ol' songs we all know and love so much.
