I had played all Gta parts and my favorits are GTA2 and 3. GTA SA has a very very hight free roaming but when compare the story of CJ with the missons... - it isn't such funny as in GTA2 and isn't serious as in GTA3. Some missions in GTA SA are bullshit. Only the begin and the end are important for the story. It isn't a bad game but I prefert Mercenaries!

My favorite GTA game must be the original. The first one. It was the beginning of the GTA spree upon the world, and I still find it hilarious to play. It was, and still is, a good game.

Re: GTA: San Andreas

Haha to be honest i loved GTA VC the first gta i ever played in 3d, i found SA boring, they need to change the look and feel of this game i think, SA was boring because it was basically the same thing with differnt voices

Also what would have made SA great a sort of choose ure own story mode where you select the path you wanna go down

SA wa good but not good enough

I absolutely loved GTA:SA. It's exactly what you would expect from a GTA game. Mindless killing fun and lotsa sarcastic humour. Come on, it's GTA.

It's not that bad, but there just wasn't much variety in VC. In SA, you didn't have to listen to all the nigga-homie-gangsta crap because you had other stations, I just loved speeding around Los Santos at night, in a Clover, listening to Radio X.

I actually thought the exact opposite. Whereas Vice City was a compilation of all the hits from the 80s (aswell as the whole Scarface soundtrack), SA was confined to 90s rap music on all but two stations.

Confined to 90s rap music on all but two stations? There were just two stations with rap music, Radio Los Santos and Playback FM.

Ok, I won't argue, since I know I'm gonna lose in the end..
Vice City had a good soundtrack and it suits the game, I probably didn't like it as much as I could have because I am from a whole another generation.

I'm just the opposite.

I love the music from VC, but didn't really like all the rap in SA - the country and rock radio stations were good.

Haha, the only moments I could bare the country music in SA was when I was either doing rampages with a large trailer, or trucking in the country with a truck. Otherwise, I hate country music too (and yes, I hate ALL country music, not just 90s ). I love modern rock (late 90s, 2000+), but the rock I heard on Radio X wasn't any good IMO. I think the only radio station that is basically constantly on, is Radio Los Santos. I only switched into Playback FM every now and then. The others I just didn't bother listening to.

Well, except from K-Jah every now and then because it was just too hilarious to miss out on.

I totally agree. The gameplay in SA was better, but the music was bad.

Hehe, so let's stop this music discussion. It's ain't going anywhere 'cept in circles. You guys liked the 80s, I hated it. Easy as that. :cooler:

I quite liked both.

Seemed like there was more variety in SA though. Thankfully they included a way to skip tracks.

GTA san andreas had very good improvements in roads, quality of the city and all that but they added so many useless and time consuming features, like bodybuilding and all that girlfriend shit >_>

They should concentrate more on the driving, cinematics and the storyline.

Camera movements when driving were horrible in SA. That is one thing they did better in VC I must admitt. But otherwise, SA was fun. I like the bodybuilding and girlfriend stuff. Most of it was volunteer anyways.

Cars should run on gas. You should have to stop and pump gas every now and then.

Someone made the claim that Mafia was better then GTA:SA? What about the buggy gameplay... and short gameplay... and back-&-forth difficulty... during gameplay. Not saying it wasn't fun. Just saying... not as fun.

With SA, I think they moved more toward an RPG. How long before you get to "Choose Your Path"?
