It does look neat...but I also will have to wait till the 360 demo to truly pass judgment.

That figure you get with pre order is really sweet, though......I hope alan wake has some cool extras like that....::HINT HINT::

One of the greatest poem of all time has laid behind this game(Divine comedy). I really hope the game to be deserved to this name.
I'm not too optimist, though.

Did you ever played any of the God of War games?
If so I think you will like Dante’s Inferno.
But I hope the don’t ruin the potential of the story.

Yeah, I've played GOW 1 and GOW chains of Olympus. it was a great game but does Dante's Inferno reach that quality? It's too hard I think.

Re: Dante's Inferno

I'm with Gene on this one. Although I have to applaud EA for finally supporting original IP (Mirror's Edge, Brutal Legend, etc); the thinking behind this one is pretty transparent: "We need a title to compete in the extreme combat genre, alongside God of War and Devil May Cry. Those games allude to mythology and religion, so lets do the same."

I suppose it depends on if they trivialise the story and use it just as a backdrop for fighting demon-like monsters. It is a cool setting for a game though (well it could be -- we'll see). Also, what are they going to do for the sequels? Purgatory and Paradise?

Demo Gameplay (PS3)

Looks cool but I have to admit that Kratos looks more badass with his chains!

Out for USA - PSN.

I played it:

+ 60 frame per second !
+ Artistic Style
+ Funny
+ Gameplay like God of War (that's good)
+ Soundtrack
+ No Tearing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Textures could be better...
- Low polygons for enemies...
- No great visual effects...
- First minutes could be cut...
- Levels don't have many objects... just arena and walls.

Played the demo of Dante's Inferno.

First of all, it's a God of War rip-off, since everything, except of the main character, is a clone of God of War and with the same graphic machine.

This guy's the opposite of Kratos, since he's willing to save his love from the Hell. He's the Good Crusader, in comparison Kratos is the Furious Spartian. This guy here uses only Death's Scythe, and Kratos uses Ares' dual chained swords.

The whole difference is that it's based to Dante's hellish poems and it's right a trip to Hell till to defeat their lord.

Must Buy for me.

Been playing it for about 5 hours.

Sure, it's a God of War clone, but that means most of the God of War fans are going to love it!

Great enviroments and action, but it could use a lot more polishing. Most of your enviroments are constantly moving and it looks ridiculously cheap. Also, the puzzles have so far been to easy.

But seriously. Is there any other game that allows you to butcher unbaptized babies?

Reminded me a lot about Devil May Cry. I never really played much God of War, so I can't really say anything there. Though, the game looks as action packed and fast paced as Devil May Cry (and probably God of War). I may get around to playing it eventually.

Since I have played both Devil May Cry and God of War, I know this much difference.

it's a God of War rip-off alright. Try playing first God of War games and you'll see its rip-off.

If Dante's Inferno is a God of War ripoff then Bayonetta is a DMC ripoff and Dead Space is a Resident Evil ripoff.

It's a style of game....GOW isn't the only damned 3rd person hack and slash aventure type game, though people treat it that way. Kinda lame that every game of that style has to be "OMG stolenz frum GOW!".

Unfortunately it's like this. But Dead Space isn't Resident Evil's rip-off, but Gears of War's rip-off... :/

They didn't have any ideas and started copying each other. Unless they create new graphic engines, it's going to be the same.

Well, no, Dead Space looks a lot more like a Resident Evil rip-off than a GoW rip-off. Wait, why am I taking part in this?

A lot of games do look alike. That's just the way it is. It does not mean however that perhaps Dante's Inferno is any poorer than God of War. I think Dante's Inferno looks rather interesting, so perhaps after I have managed to get my hands on all of the other games on the list, I will finally have a chance to get this game.

What I need is more friends with XBoxes and PS3's that can buy some of the other games I want so that I can just borrow from them instead of having to buy every single game I want to play myself.

Pity on you. I have some connections that I can have those games free, and a friend that I can play the game as free, without buying. Like this I'll avoid paying those local shops.

If they had the balanced prices everywhere, we'd be in ease and we'd buy them without worries. -_-

I have one friend with an XBox 360. I borrow some games from him, but he only buys games occasionally. And even then, he goes and gets himself all the games I would want in my collection anyways! Like Oblivion and Fallout 3. When it comes to games I am interested in but isn't high enough up on my list to buy myself immediately, you can be damned sure he isn't going to get it so that I can sneak out of buying it.

Re: Dante's Inferno

Well i got Dante's Inferno lastnight.

First off, the Pre-Order figure that came with it is freaking amazing. So much detail, articulation and awesomeness. This is a Pre-Order thing devs should take notice of. Neca is second to none.

Ok and once I was done posing it and putting it on my shelf....I got into the actual game. I made it through the Prologue and the first two Circles(Limbo and Lust) and am on my way into Gluttony. So far it's VERY good. Each circle is unique and has it's own flavor. Lust was insane. You learn new stuff pretty often and the combat is varied enough to not get too old. The first few bosses were pretty epic as well.

Bottom line, If you are interested in this game or if you like these kind of games...GET IT.
